Disco Popstar Incursion Structure:

Join the ultimate dance event – our kid’s discos are ideal for groups of various ages, delighting both boys and girls! With our professional children’s entertainer playing the the most up to date music, all songs are designed to get everyone dancing at your Vacation Care or OSHC centre.

What we do: 

  • Our professional entertainer will run a structured disco with the children.
  • They will encourage every child to channel their inner ‘pop/rock star’ by selecting children to sing on our professional microphones and giving out prizes.
  • They will also teach the children some cool dance moves and encourage their own freestyle dancing.
  • Your entertainer will play a variety of fun musical games and team challenges exclusive to Bop!
  • Our discos are suitable for small or large groups. The children will stay focused throughout the entirety of the disco with our structured layout.

FAQ's

We have a mixed group of both girls and boys, will they all be engaged throughout the disco?

Yes, definitely. We have been doing these discos for over 18 years and over this time we have developed the exact combination of songs and activities to keep both boys and girls completely engaged and having a great time. All of our entertainers have undergone an extensive training program, some are even studying childcare or have childcare qualifications. Also, always remember we can tailor the music to suit your children at your disco.

We have over 60 children attending. Is your entertainer going to be able to deal with such a large group?

Yes, we always say the more the merrier. The entertainers are experienced and trained to engage big groups of children at one time. It is also easier to create the disco atmosphere with more children. Our entertainers wear a headset microphone, so their voice is projected.

Can you have the disco outdoors?

Always have a wet weather plan if your event is outdoors. We also find that outdoor discos don’t seem to work as well as indoor discos. Children tend to get easily distracted in big open spaces. If you really want to have your event outdoors, we do have some regulations to comply with for our Public Liability Insurance. We cannot set up on grass as all electrical cords must be taped down and both the equipment and children must be undercover, plus we need easy access to power to run the equipment. If your event is during the day, all the children need to wear hats, sunscreen and have regular drink breaks.

What time will the entertainer arrive?

Your entertainer will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled disco start time (this is with an allocated car spot within 20 metres from the disco). This gives you an opportunity to ask questions, give any special song requests or discuss any requirements.

Do the children have a break?

In all our 1.5-hour and 2-hour events, the children will have a 15-minute drink break to replenish their energy to start again for the second session.  Please let us know if this is not suitable for your event.

Do I need to provide anything for the entertainer?

All the entertainers will need is a small table near a power point to plug the equipment in.

Are the entertainers ‘screened’?

Yes, all the staff and entertainers of Bop till you Drop have been approved with a ‘Working with Children Check’.

Do I need to provide a parking spot for the entertainer?

Yes. Your entertainer will need an allocated parking spot as close to your venue as possible. There is a lot of heavy equipment to unload (and reload), and we want the disco to run as smoothly as possible and on time. Please note you will need to pay for parking should free parking not be available. Also, please ensure you give the office clear directions on exactly where your venue is located.

Are you insured?

Bop till you Drop has $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance.

What decorations do I need?

We provide two fantastic disco lights! These are effective in creating a spectacular disco atmosphere. If you want any other form of decoration, feel free, however please avoid free floating balloons, they are a big distraction, unless stuck on the walls. Also, its best to avoid chairs in the disco space.
