Join us on an adventure of excitement and knowledge with Bop’s Vacation Care/OSHC Science Incursions! Created to engage and inspire young minds, our interactive activities offer an amazing blend of fun and education. Perfect for mixed-age groups and suitable for boys and girls alike!
What we do:
- Our Science Entertainer will arrive with all the materials needed for the educational experience. You only need to provide enough tables for the eager young scientists to gather around.
- They will then guide the children through a variety of exciting experiments, from launching rockets to creating bubbling volcanoes. For a preview of the experiments, check out our ‘experiment tab.’
- After the demonstration, each child will have the opportunity to become a scientist, working in small teams to recreate the experiments.
- Our expert scientist will provide a range of experiments that cater to the different ages and interests of the children.

FAQ's
We have a mixed group of both girls and boys, will they all be engaged throughout the science incursion?
Yes, definitely. We have perfected the exact combination of activities to keep both boys and girls completely engaged and having a great time. All of our entertainers have undergone an extensive training program, some are even studying childcare or have childcare qualifications.
Can the incursion be run outdoors?
We can run this incursion either indoors or outdoors but always have a wet weather plan if your event is outdoors. All we need are tables for the kids to stand around to do the experiments plus easy access to water. If you’re choosing the disco add on, that would need to be indoors.
What time will the entertainer arrive?
Your entertainer will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled disco start time (this is with an allocated car spot within 20 metres from the disco). This gives you an opportunity to ask questions, give any special instructions or discuss any requirements.
Are the entertainers ‘screened’?
Yes, all the staff and entertainers of Bop till you Drop have been approved by the ‘Working with Children Check’.
Do the children have a break?
In all our 1.5-hour and 2-hour events, the children will have a 10-minute drink break to replenish their energy to start again for the second session. Please let us know if this is not suitable for your event.
Do I need to provide anything for the entertainer?
All the entertainers will need is a table to conduct the experiments on (big enough or multiple tables for the kids too). No chairs are required.
Do I need to provide a parking spot for the entertainer?
Yes, your entertainer will need an allocated parking spot as close to your venue as possible. We want the incursion to run as smoothly as possible and on time. Please note you will need to pay for parking should free parking not be available. Also, please ensure you give the office clear directions on exactly where your venue is located.
Are you insured?
Bop till you Drop has $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance.
