Frozen Disco Structure:

Does your child love Frozen, and you want to ensure all the children stay engaged throughout the party? Try our Frozen Disco Parties! We keep the kids singing and dancing with organised group activities

What we do:

  • Age group: 2-8 years
  • Your Snow Queen Entertainer will arrive 30 minutes before the party to set up all the necessary equipment. They will bring a professional PA system, dazzling disco lights, microphones for the children to sing Frozen songs, as well as all the prizes and giveaways.
  • Your child will receive a special Snow Queen Tiara to make her feel extra special. She also gets to choose the singers and winners of the games.
  • For the first 45 minutes, the Snow Queen Entertainer will play exclusively Frozen music, teach princess dance moves and conduct Frozen-themed team-building games. All the children will get a chance to sing their favourite Frozen songs on real microphones.
  • In the next 15 minutes, the Snow Queen Entertainer will apply Frozen tattoos, glitter hairspray and blue glitter eye shadow to all the children. We recommend serving food and drinks during this time.
  • After the break, the Snow Queen will continue with more Frozen games, singing and dancing.
  • At the end of the party, the Snow Queen will gather the children around the cake to sing a special Happy Birthday to the birthday child.

FAQ's

Is this party suitable for boys and/or older children?

Yes, if there are a mixture of ages or boys and girls present, then we will make sure we play songs and games that are suitable for them as well. We want to make sure ALL the children are having fun in a focused and structured party.

How big does the room need to be?

We don’t need a massive space. Depending on the number of children, usually a lounge room or single to double car garage size is big enough. Contrary to what you may think, really big halls don’t seem to work as well.

Can I have my party outdoors?

We find that outdoor parties don’t seem to work as well as indoor parties. Reason being is that swing sets and trampolines cause distraction, therefore it is best to limit activity on these items during the party or make the area ‘out-of-bounds’. We do however recommend the food break be outside. This is when things can get a bit messy, therefore outdoors is ideal. Always have a wet weather plan if your event is outdoors.

If you really want to have your event outdoors we do have some regulations to comply with for our Public Liability Insurance. We cannot set up on grass as all electrical cords must be taped down and both the equipment and children must be undercover. If your event is during the day, all the children need to wear hats, sunscreen and have regular drink breaks.

How many children should I invite?

We suggest 15 – 30 children is the ideal number to create the disco party atmosphere. However we can do parties with less or more, we will always cater the disco to make sure all the children are engaged and having fun.

What time will the entertainer arrive?

Your entertainer will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled party start time. This gives them adequate time to meet yourself and the birthday child, and also set up the equipment to be ready to go on time. This also gives you an opportunity to ask questions, give any song requests or discuss any special requirements if necessary.

When do the children have a food break?

We always give the children a 15 minute food break in the middle of a 2hr or 1.5hr disco. If the children have eaten beforehand or will eat after, we still need to give them a drink break and the entertainer will use this time to put special tattoos on the children. If you have opted for the 1 hour party, then it is best to leave the food break till after we leave. In this case we will just give the children a quick drink break half way through the disco.

When do we do the birthday cake?

In the last 10 minutes of the party we sing Happy Birthday around the cake. Then we take the children back to the dance floor for one final song, so you can cut the cake without all the children around you! If you are having a 1 hour party it is best to do the cake after the disco has ended. In this case the entertainer can still gather the children around the cake to sing happy birthday.

Do I need to provide anything for the entertainer?

All the entertainer will need is a table and a power point to plug the equipment in.

Do I need to do anything during the party?

The only thing you will need to do is ensure the food is ready for the break. The entertainer will arrange the children around the table, assist on serving the food and help with drinks.

Are the entertainers ‘screened’?

Yes, all the staff and entertainers of Bop till you Drop have been approved with the ‘Working with Children Check’.

Do I need to provide a parking spot for the entertainer?

Yes. Your entertainer will need an allocated parking spot as close to your house/venue as possible. There is a lot of heavy equipment to unload (and reload) and we want the disco to run as smoothly as possible and on time. Please note you will need to pay for parking should free parking not be available. Also, please ensure you give the office clear directions on exactly where your house/venue is located. It is also a great idea to stick a balloon on your front gate.

What if someone hurts themselves, are you insured?

Bop till you Drop has $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance. We are happy to provide you with our Certificate of Currency should you require it for hall bookings, this way you will not have to pay extra for insurance.

What decorations do I need?

We provide two fantastic disco lights; these are really effective in creating a spectacular disco atmosphere. If you want any other form of decoration feel free, however please avoid free floating balloons, they are a big distraction. If you really love balloons and streamers, it is best to stick them to the wall. Also avoid chairs in the disco space, the children will be dancing and can sometimes feel self-conscience if adults are sitting and watching, especially in the beginning of a party.

Will the children participate in the disco the whole time? Should I hire a face painter or jumping castle as well?

You really don’t need any other entertainment taking place at the same time as the disco. Children love the disco, and will benefit from all the structured activities alone. Should you really want face painters or jumping castles, its best to schedule them before or after the disco.
